Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 May 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how the DevHives Blog (operated by DevHives, a unit of Learnzo Technologies, based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our blog at https://devhives.in/blog. For the privacy policy that governs the rest of the DevHives platform (course pages, learner accounts, payments), please see our main Privacy Policy.

1. What we collect

Automatically collected. When you read a post, our hosting infrastructure and analytics tools may record your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and the pages you visit. We use this information to understand which content is read, diagnose technical issues, and prevent abuse.

Comments. If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address, and (optionally) website URL you submit, along with your IP address and browser user agent. An anonymised hash of your email may be sent to the Gravatar service to display your profile picture. Submitted comments are retained indefinitely so we can recognise and approve follow-up comments from the same author.

Cookies. If you leave a comment you may opt in to having your name, email, and website saved in cookies on your device so you do not need to fill them in again next time. These cookies last for one year. If you have an account and log in, we use temporary session cookies to recognise your browser; these are cleared when you close the browser.

Embedded content. Posts on this blog may include embedded content (videos, social posts, code sandboxes) from third parties. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website directly — those sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.

2. How we use your information

  • To publish and moderate comments you submit.
  • To send you replies to your comments, when applicable.
  • To protect the blog from spam, abuse, and unauthorised access.
  • To understand which posts are read so we can plan future content.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information with the service providers we use to run the blog, including our cloud hosting provider, analytics provider, and (for Gravatars) Automattic. These providers process data only as needed to perform their services for us.

4. How long we keep your data

Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so that we can recognise repeat commenters and maintain conversation threads. For registered users on this blog (if any), we store the personal information provided in your user profile. You can edit or delete your profile information at any time (administrators can also see and edit that information).

5. Your rights

If you have left comments or have an account on this blog, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

To exercise these rights, email us at khanp4397@gmail.com.

6. Where your data is sent

Comments may be checked through an automated spam-detection service. Our servers are located in India.

7. Contact

For privacy questions related to this blog, email khanp4397@gmail.com. For privacy questions about the broader DevHives platform, see the main Privacy Policy or use the contact options at https://devhives.in/contact.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the blog homepage.
